 About me...

I was born and grew up by the sea, on the Mediterranean Gulf of Pozzuoli in Naples, Italy.
My parents, intellectuals with a love for travel, had four children and a camper van, and we spent the very long summer months journeying across Italy with my three brothers and the occasional guest. We camped on solitaries beaches, and sometimes we recited poetry under the stars. In the winter, we lived in a house by the sea, where I often found myself mesmerized by the water and the way the light danced across its surface like liquid stars.
As a direct consequence of the life I lived as a child, I developed a strong connection with nature, the seasons and the perception that what surrounds us is brimming with hidden beauty.   Ultimately i believe that nature is inherently magical and if we care for it, and communicate with it, can show us a way of beling intrinsically linked with creativity
And that everything is interconnected—part of one shared soul.

My work is a transformation, like nature is: I like taking something that once had another life—something found, something discarded—and giving it new place on my artwork.
Like human beings, like stars and flowers, each object has a past and a future.

With my art I love to honour this teaching from nature: that everything was something else before and it will become something else, and just now, in this moment in time as long or short as it may be, this is where it found its home.
